Dr. Sergey Ivliev is a quantitative finance specialist and technologist holding a Ph.D. in Mathematical Economics, with over fifteen years of experience building data, modelling, and market infrastructure across climate and capital markets. At Natural Capital Reserve he leads the AI strategy and development of the rating systems, analytics, and platforms that underpin the company's carbon spread and marine biodiversity instruments. He is Founder and Board Chair of Vlinder, a nature-based carbon project developer with blue carbon projects across Kenya, Indonesia, and Brazil, and was previously a co-founder of the fintech firm Lykke. His work spans carbon accounting methodologies, blockchain-based tokenisation, and econometric modelling, bridging environmental science with financial engineering. Dr. Ivliev also teaches at HEC Lausanne and the New Economic School, where he focuses on blockchain, risk, and quantitative methods.
